Berniece Britton age 85 of Lowell, Ark passed away Sat April 11, 2009 at the Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Springdale, Ark. Berniece was born April 14, 1923 in Kinta, Okla., to Daniel Cox and Kathrine Harris Cox.
She was a supervising clerk for Imperial Irrigation District in Indio, Calif., for 35 years. Was married to Guinn H. Britton since May 27, 1941. Moved from Yucaipa, Calif., 20 years ago to the Rogers and Lowell area.
She enjoyed reading, traveling throughout the U.S. to visit relatives and friends all over the U.S.
Preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Chester; Garvin; Marvin; Lester; and Howard Cox. Also a sister, Helen S. Wilson.
Survived by her husband Guinn H. Britton of the home, a son, Terry Britton of Livermore, Caif., sister-in-law, Colleen Hartnett Cox ; cousin, Inez Cox Wann of Kinta, Okla., nieces, Kelly Cox Wilkins; Deanna Cox Grutz; Sharon Cox Leath; Cynthia Cox Keelin; and Patricia Wilson Judd. Four nephews, Daniel Wagner; Richard Cox; Dennis Wilson; and Ronald Cox. Numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Fri April 17,2009 at the Benton County Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Jim Moore officiating. Entombment will follow in the Benton County Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers, AR.
