The birthdate is clearly wrong, but that's not the first time a date has been wrong on a headstone, and after much research, it seems likely that this is indeed the headstone of our Samuel Janes. The location seems right and the death date seems right. | |||

Headstone of Samuel Janes.
The birthdate is clearly wrong, but that's not the first time a date has been wrong on a headstone, and after much research, it seems likely that this is indeed the headstone of our Samuel Janes. The location seems right and the death date seems right.
