This is to certify that I James Gouch have consented to the marriage of my daughter Elizabeth to Mr. Welsh Skidmore. Given under my hand this 21st April 1839. James Gouch
Know all here by these presents that we Welsh Skidmore and Rowland Gouch are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky per the penal sever Lord ??? our hands ??? this 23rd day of April 1839. Where as there is a license about to be issued from the clerk's offices of the L??? County C??? for a marriage ??? between the above bound Welsh Skidmore and Elizabeth Gooch. Now should there be no legal cause to obstruct said marriage then this obligation to be ???.
