People are connecting a John Hand and Jane (Angell) Hand to this line, as the parents of Mary's mother, who is given in this connection as Francis Ann Hand. I am not aware of any records which establish this connection other than just the hearsay of genealogists. Nevertheless, it is the most promising lead at the moment, and I am gathering related records below to aid in establishing the connection if it, in fact, exists.
