Notes

The 1920 census gives the last names of the daughters as Vogel and they seem to appear at the same time as the mother-in-law. This would suggest to me that the adopted "daughters" are actually Nancy M. Vogel's sister's. Perhaps her father died between 1910 and 1920. The parent birthplaces as listed in the 1930 census, when their last names are listed as Richardson, match Ernest and Nella. Another child with the last name of Rounds appears in the 1930 census with parents listed as being from Oregon.
